Do you have other social media accounts for your business? If you do it’s important that you keep your visual appearance similar, if not the same throughout all of your accounts. When you keep your visuals the same, your customers are able to identify your business easier! Use your business’ logo as your profile picture. As for the header, use a picture that relates to your company.
- What kind of content should I include in the biography section?
The biography section is going to be one of the first things someone sees when they visit your profile on Twitter. It’s important you keep this area short and sweet. Put your motto, a preview of your business, or maybe your mission statement. At the end include a direct link to your website or other social media accounts.

- What are hash tags and how do I use them to market?
Im assuming that everyone knows what a keyword is and if you don’t they can best be described as short catchy phases. Hash tags are just a set of keywords with the number sign (#) in front of it. On Twitter hash tags become trending when a large group of people are using that particular hashtag in their tweets. Hash tagging allows people to search more easily.
How can you use them to market? Well the best thing that I can suggest is to either wait for a trending hash tag that you can relate to your business and use that or start your own hash tag and use them in every tweet. Using other trending hash tags is the more effectent way to go because you will be able to reach a larger group of people.
- What do I tweet?
When tweeting they’re are just a few things to remember. The first is that you only have a 140 character limit. This means that your content needs to be short and to the point. Another thing to remember when tweeting is your purpose. What are your trying to accomplish? Your overall goal is to make people want to see what you have to offer. Tweet promotional things that people want such as coupons and giveaways.
- Who do I follow?
When you first begin to use Twitter follow people relevant to your business. For example if your promoting your restaurant follow professional cooks or your competitors. As you business begins to get found, you will receive follows from your customers, you can follow them too!
When your customers respond to your tweets, try your very best to always reply back.
