Im assuming that everyone knows what a keyword is and if you don’t they can best be described as short catchy phases. Hash tags are just a set of keywords with the number sign (#) in front of it. On Twitter hash tags become trending when a large group of people are using that particular hashtag in their tweets. Hash tagging allows people to search more easily.

How can you use them to market? Well the best thing that I can suggest is to either wait for a trending hash tag that you can relate to your business and use that or start your own hash tag and use them in every tweet.
